Hurricane Katrina victims wait to be evacuated from the area outside Louis Armstrong airport in New Orleans, La. days after the hurricane hit forcing thousands of people from their homes. Thousands of people lined up outside the airport in order to get onto planes to transport them to other cities. Police let people into the airport ten at a time to be screened. A temporary morgue was also set up inside the airport with sick and dying people laying in airport waiting areas.
